Child Psychology Services
Vibe Psychology sees many children (7 years+) for a range of areas including:
Anxiety (selective mutism, social anxiety, school refusal, phobias)
Developmental issues, attachment, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders
Depressive mood (including depression, grief/coping with death)
Anger management, emotion regulation difficulties, behaviour problems

Academic issues - navigating learning difficulties/disorders, problems with attention

We also provide preliminary screening for children with a range of emotional and learning needs before referral to more specialist services. Please note: Vibe Psychology is not specialised in diagnosing neurodiversity, but can help with the information gathering and screening process.
Teenager Psychology Services

Referral Process & Stakeholder Collaboration (Child and Teenager)
A collaborative, holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing underpins our work at Vibe Psychology, and to have a meaningful understanding of past specialist involvement we want to read any reports you have already gathered that may help us in addressing the referral question and having a deeper understanding of your child/young person. A times, we may also be in contact with other stakeholders (with consent from you) to help support and improve the wellbeing of our clients.
Additional Information for Separated Families (Child and Teenager)
At Vibe Psychology we recognise the challenges that can be placed on parents and children/young people when parents are in the process of/or have separated, who have divorced or in the family court process. Therapy can be very helpful for children adjusting to all the changes that can occur at these transitional times.
To ensure your child’s time at Vibe Psychology does not become an extension of other conflict, we require both parents to provide written consent for therapy. Please note Vibe Psychology does not provide statements to support court proceedings in process of separation or divorce.

Perinatal Psychology Services
Vibe Psychology sees many individuals in the Perinatal Period. Some of the ares we support are:
Planning: infertility, the process of treatment, mixed emotions about pregnancy, single mother conception, depression, anxiety and stress, planned terminations
Pregnancy: Depression and anxiety, bonding to your baby, an unplanned pregnancy, pregnancy related illnesses, preparing for parenthood, perinatal loss
Postpartum: Adjusting to parenthood, depression/anxiety, birth trauma, premature birth, relationships, anger management, emotion regulation, sleep issues.
Parenting: Bonding to your baby, fostering your baby’s emotional development, relating to your infant or toddler, understanding your toddler’s behaviour

Making an Appointment
Referral to Vibe Psychology can happen in a number of ways:
Referral from GP under Mental Health Care plan, which means you get access to a rebate under Medicare. You need to have been given a referral to Vibe Psychology before your first appointment.
Private referral, which means you pay the full amount for sessions.
