Educational & Developmental Psychologist

Are the things in the name all that we do?

There are many different types of psychologists and sometimes it is hard knowing what each psychologist specialises in, what they treat and how they support people with varying concerns.

When people hear ‘Educational and Developmental Psychologist’ they most commonly think we work in education and schools (or work with children and teens). Yes, it is beneficial for us to be working in/with schools but our knowledge base extends beyond education and each of us may have different interests and passions within this specialty area.

I provide a link to the Educational and Developmental road map from the APS that highlights some of the things that Educational and Developmental Psychologists do.
